I use to work for a laser and and a electrolysis center and the answer is no…you cannot have the procedure done while you are pregnant because of hormonal inbalances.But the procedure itself with the clients that do come in have IMMEDIATE results as soon as they have it done because they come in a week later for a follow up (not another lasering but a check up) and the redness goes away (blemishes) and everything they feel more confident.I have never tried it myself because of the prices EEK! even as an employee I have small cases are acne scarring so i couldnt justify it.I hope this answers your question. Laser Acne Treatment??????

Okay. I’m 16 now almost 17 with moderate acne. Nothing serious it’s just persistent enough to make me self conscious.

I was thinking about getting laser treatment to help combat the acne. My skin is oily and shines up (which is part of the problem).

Will the laser treatment help my oily skin as well as my acne? Or because of my oily skin will the acne return AFTER the laser treatment?

Any other tips or advice welcome.
*Note* If I wanted to slather my face in all the chemicals I could find I would have mentioned that. Please do not mention acne creams the question is about laser treatment.

you seem to have the same problem as me. I assume you have tried all the creams, gels, topicals and bacteria medication for the acne without success. I am currently going thru a six treatment (once a month) of laser treatment. With my first treatment, i dont get the huge cyst i encounter even with gels,etc. The laser wont cure the oily skin but it will bacteria causing the acne. My doctor suggested the laser but kept me using the medication (benzoyl,etc), so i assume acne might come back if i stop. Also, the laser treatment helps smooth the skin and remove wrinkles (same laser treatment). I hope i gave you some info.

Can someone recommend me a Doctor to go to for acne scar laser treatment in NYC ?

I have some acne scars on my cheeks and I just want to get it treated. I tried microdermabrasion and it did not work so laser it is.

im 16 years old and i have a lot of acne scars. im planning to get laser treatment but im not sure if its healthy. plz i dont want to hear any medications that i could take bec i want to try laser treatment. i was just wondering who long it takes it to heal and if its effective?

truthfully in my case it made my acne worse and then it went back to the way it was with no improvement. On top of that it gave me "racoon eyes" for two weeks due to the fact that one must wear goggles during the treatment and made my face very red and sensitive to the sun for a long time. luckily with age my acne just cleared up on its own. maybe the treatment will yield you better results.

oh, and it hurts. although i didn’t cry it felt like they were lighting matches on my face especially if you have facial hair because the light travels down the hair stands and burns deep

Has anyone had laser treatment for acne scars?

I currently have very smooth, spot-free skin, but left over scars from previous spots. It is really depressing. Looking at websites, they are definitely not the worst scars in the world – very small, about 5 on each cheek, but dark red / purple.
I have tried all sorts of creams from the doctor, and have tried herbal treatments and everything.
Any advice on other treatments or where to go for laser treatment? Also how much?

Laser treatment is quite annoying because not only is it expensive, but painful because you have to have it done more than once, so take that into consideration when looking at costs.

I did a search and I know of people have asked similar questions before, but still, I would like to get direct opinions.

I have been suffering from acne since I was 12, and until I was 16 the situation was not so unbearable, the pimples focus mainly on my forehead and chin before my monthly period, and they usually heal after my period.

However since I started working part time when I was 16, due to stress, and I started to get serious break outs on the other area of my face, and some of them are hard pimples that seems impossible to get away. Every spots that I get leaves deep red colour scaring and now no where in my skins is clear except my eye area.

Now I am 20, and the situation still continues, I believe my puberty has far gone and ruled out the cause of imbalance in hormones. During this time I have tried almost every product that I could get from the market, from creme de la mer, SK2..etc, nothing really works.

So I am considering laser treatment. Worth it? and How much?
btw, I am worry that I would be ashamed by my vanity when if I really go into a hospital and do my treatment.. people are going there to treat their skin cancer or something but I am here to cure my acne?…. this might sounds really stupid but my skin is giving me emotional distress and really lowered my confidence…
