I’ve been researching it and I guess they are whiteheads. They aren’t pimples, I mean you can’t notice them unless I take of my makeup and you look up close, there’s white pus clogged in the pores. Are there any home remedies I can use to clear this up? If not, what type of thing should I buy? Will pore strips clear it up? Thanks in advance. And if you’re going to tell me it’s disgusting, I know that already, so don’t even bother. You see, there’s this thing called a block feature, and I’m not afraid to use it. =]

This all goes for acne or anything acne related like white puss. Take cold showers instead of hot ones, try at least 2 a day, they keep your pores closed and let the cold water come down on your face (and were ever else theirs acne, the more you do the less redness their will be. Don’t use rubbing alcohol on your face as it will make your blemishes redder, it will kill the bacteria on your face but it will also kill the natural occurring chemical in your body that prevents acne. I just wash using Neutrogena. This is not a rude comment or anything but an honest one, don’t masturbate or have as much sex, their is a naturally occurring chemical in your skin that goes to keep your skin clear and to hormones, in some people when they masturbate or have sex their hormone level will heighten and more of the chemical will go to hormones, instead of your skin, which may cause excess acne. Try all of this and see your wonderful results.

they have been on my face for ages mostly on the T-zone part.

I work as a facialist in London. Here is my advice:

1. Use a good foaming cleanser/face wash – not face wipes as these are room temperature and will not open the pores well enough to clean your pores out. Also make sure that the water you are using is warm as it opens the pores.

2. Exfoliate at least once or twice a week, depending on how gentle or strong your exfoliator is. This will help to clean out the pores deeper than your regular wash cannot.

3. Use a toner PLEASE!!! So many people leave this out thinking it is unimportant – it is very important as this is the step in your skin routine that will close the pores again after deeper cleansing. This prevents the further blockage of the pores. (In summer, I keep mine in the fridge – it feels really refreshing on he skin)

And then moisturise as normal – use a water based moisturiser rather that an oil based one if your skin is greasy.

Somebody mentioned here that whiteheads (millia) can only be removed by laser therapy. I can assure you that this is not the case at all. Most skincare specialists would have received training on how to deal with this, and thay can be removed. A whitehead is exactly the same as a blackhead, only it has a thin covering of skin over it. So a blackhead would oxidise on contact with the air, and so turn black.

Normally, we would use a small sterile lancet use open the skin so the whitehead could be removed. Sometimes though, there are also exfoliating products on the market that help reduce these.

Good home care routine is the best solution for you, but go along to your nearest salon and get some advice from them, as it is difficult to suggest 100% the right treatment plan without first having a look at your skin.

white heads are harder to get rid of than any other pimple, and also the most painfull. I guess they come from an accumulation of excess oil, and if you pop them, they hurt like heck. You cant get rid of them because even with benzoil peroxide and the rest, the oil still seeps through your pores, and creates more white heads. The only thing that will work is stop using the stuff you are using. Also, to make them less visible, pop them, better to have flat red pimples, than big stand out white-yellow nasty pimples. idk hope i helped

White heads and blackheads are developed in the same way. Black heads occur when the contents reach the surface and are exposed to oxygen. That’s all. It’s almost like a tiny scab.

Whiteheads ( milia) is a disorder of the oil glands caused by an accumulation of oil beneath the skin. Blackheads ( comedones) are worm-like masses of hardened sebum ( oil) created by excess oil secreted by the oil glands that fill up hair follicles which then creates a blockage at the mouth of the follicle. There are many types of skin disorders and several books that show colorful illustrations with definitions of the various types of skin problems. If you know someone in beauty school they would have a chapter called "Skin and the Disorders of the Skin" that would help answer some of your questions and give you a visual aid to determine the differences between the skin conditions.
