Around what age did your teenage hormonal acne begin to calm down?

I’m not talking about serious, severe acne, for which people resort to drugs like accutane, but rather just the usual spots most teenagers get, some worse than others. Also, without taking medications etc. When did it naturally start to subside?
Thank you =)

For me, it was still raging in my 40’s, when I discovered a combination that controlled my acne (no drugs) and began reducing the scars.

I stumbled onto this combination: a salicylic acid face wash followed by a salicylic acid astringent (I used to use Clinique Clarifying Lotion No. 3 but there are cheaper alternatives now), followed by a 2.5% benzoyl peroxide lotion, which I could only get by prescription. The 5% and 10% were too harsh on my ravaged and by then thinner skin.

When I could no longer get the 2.5% by prescription or in stores, by then I could only find the 10% strength (far too strong for me), I googled 2.5% benzoyl peroxide and found a lot of sources for it.
